The foundations required for insulbrick construction are strip footings or a concrete slab.

Strip footings: If building on a strip footing insulbrick construction is used to raise the base to support the sub-floor. This can be especially beneficial when building on a sloping site.

Concrete slab: The insulbricks are laid directly onto the slab, which saves your Concreter providing a rebated base.
1. Waffle pod slab provides insulation to your foundations
2. Strip footing for insulbrick dwelling with timber flooring
3. Concrete slab being poured- the front half is supported by an insulbrick 240 basement
4. Insulbrick construction does not require a rebate; they are placed directly onto a concrete slab. This is the foundation for an insulbrick 240 basement that will support a 30 tonne log home under construction by Great Bear Log Homes
