| Insulbricks are layed directly onto the strip footing or concrete slab. Unlike Brick Veneer walls that require a rebated edge, insulbricks only require a square edge. This saves both time and money. The setting out of the insulbrick walls is easy. |

Use an insulbrick to mark the location of the wall. |

Snap a chalk line to establish the line of the wall. |

You can anchor a temporary plate to the foundation to be used as a firm outline of the wall- this plate can be used for your top plate later. |

The timber should be anchored wherever your insulbrick walls are to be constructed. |

The first two courses are then interlocked and simply pushed against the timber line to ensure they are straight. You don’t need to be strong for insulbrick construction. |
